Does NOT make loud noise when used for 20-30 minutes at a time. It gets warmer (strong electric motor), but does NOT heat up to be a problem. I got the corded one and the cord is not a nuisance (probably a stronger motor, too). Top quality product: I expect it to last for a long time. I was happy (as an unskilled barber) to pair it with the $20.00 set of 8 color coded graduate guards sold by Bambong. Even though it comes with guards, this gave me more choice in lengths of cut & the colors are easy to remember. Very pleased with the delivery time and the quality of both products.
